As usual, I am getting lazier 'n lazier to update my blog..so juz wanna write a summary of what is happening last week..it was a busy week for all of us..cos the weekend is Culture Night..an event, sort of International Night, whereby all the countries who have signed up will either set up a booth, cook the cuisine of the countries, or performing..well, Indonesia participated in all..I helped in the kitchen since Thursday..'n also took part in the dance performance..lol..it has been so long since I last took part in a performance lor..oh yeah..that night, on Saturday, all the students have to wear either traditional costumes or formal wear..cos there will be a lot of VIPs turning up..so all of us wear our traditional clothes ..well, we have to cos we are performing...I borrowed mine from the Indonesian Embassy cos I didn't bring one..

We have something different again during Bar & Beverage lesson..Cocktail Mixing Practical..yeah..the teacher showed us how to mixed different cocktails..yeah..'n after he mixed, he let all of us tried..some of the cocktails are damn nice lar..dun dare to drink too much though, cos I scared that my face will become very red again..lol..The teacher also asked me to follow him to mix a B-52 cocktail..not easy lar..my first time..lol..the lesson was so fun..in the end it became like a bar..all the students asked whether he knew this 'n that cocktail 'n asked him to mix for us..

My lesson ends at 12pm usually on Thursday..so Dwi, an Indonesian guy from year 2..same age as me though..'n me went to Bern to the Indonesian Embassy to borrow all the stuffs needed for the Culture Night..all the clothes for those who doesn't have one..like me..'n all the decorations needed for our booth..it was a really long day for us..at night, we still have to attend the rehearsal for performance..

We helped out in the kitchen since 5pm onwards..well, it was quite fun..the kitchen is full of students from all the different countries..yeah..we were making some food from our countries..it really keeps the bond 'n unity within everyone..we have to register the food we are gonna make beforehand of course..maximum 3 dishes per country..'n on Friday, we got all our ingredients from the chef...

Well, also on this day, I got 2 cuts from cutting the cabbage..lol..cos the cabbage is too hard to cut..'n the knife is so sharp..it's true that the knife should be kept sharp lar..it's me who is not careful when using it..

We have already kept a pact that we are going to meet in the kitchen at 7am in the morning..to start doing our things...but in the end, only me 'n Adelina turned up at 7am..the rest were not there..omg..we were the earliest..we waited for the chef to open the kitchen door..'n we started doing the things that are not completed yesterday night..

'n at 7 30am..the rest came ..so we worked in the kitchen till almost 2pm..really fun in the kitchen..walking around..'n tasting around the cuisine from other countries..haha..

'n at 2pm, we had our full run rehearsal for performance..get to see the performance from other countries..not in their costumes though..cos it's juz a rehearsal..

after rehearsal ended, each of us went to bathed, 'n after that gathered at Melia's room (she is a second year student 'n her room is a single room )..by then, her room has turned like a dressing room..lol..lots of people inside..make up, change clothes..some BBA Students helped us to do our hair ..'n some helped to do the make up..lol..it's really like as if there's someone who is getting married lor..

anyway after we are done, we went down..the event started at 5pm..but the performance only started at 7pm...so I went down around 6pm with Jessica..'n by then , the lobby was already full of people..VIPs, lecturers, students from other schools...yeah..so we juz walked around..tasting food from every booths, taking pictures..

'n finally performed at around 8 30pm I think..was quite nervous..haha..but anyway everything turned out well in the end..

Time for the prize now:
Indonesia won the first prize for the Best Culinary, Second for the Booth 'n Third for the Performance..quite satisfied..cos at least we won a prize for every items..although the certificate was only awarded to the first winner..Well, too bad Indonesia didn't win the Overall Performance for the night..cos Indonesia has continuously won the award for the previous 2 years..according to seniors..Vietnam got the prize for the night..

It was really a long day on Saturday...after event ended, we still need to clear the booth..damn tiring..lol..we kept all those things that can still be used in a box..well, the box is sort of precious box that has been passed down from dunno how many years liao..haha..
