gave my mummy a call as soon as i woke up just now..eh ard 11+am here..'n ard 6+pm in sg..quite late hor..but nvm lar..yesterday while on msn, my sis msg me, telling me that she has bought present for my mum 'n a card..so asked me what to write in the card..i was quite surprised that she actually rem mummy's b'day..haha..well, it shows that both of us very you3 xin1 lar =P

anyway, back to the story in the restaurant last night. i've so much to say so juz bear with me k.well, today ( monday, 28th may) is a public holiday here in swiss. i dunno what's the day though.k that's nt the point.so my colleague, mdm h, has warned me on fri that sun will be super busy.because everybody will come out, plus it will rain, plus there is nice movie screening ( take note: the cinema counter is just right in front of the restaurant. yesterday ppl are queueing in front of the counter.oh yeah, pizza&pasta, asia 'n newsbar are side by side)

well, at first it was calm, at ard 6-7pm..but from 7 30pm onwards, it was a sudden wave, thunderstorm, a war or whatsoever..u can use any words that is like WAH to describe the situation.'n remember i was ALONE for service 'n another guy was alone in the kitchen, too..cos usually on sunday, it was nt tt busy.

it was really a NIGHTMARE to me. WORST SITUATION EVER.people keep coming 'n coming non stop. 'n me ALONE have to seat the guests, give menu, take order, put in the micros, make the drink, deliver the drink, deliver the food that has been done by the kitchen, give the bill PLUS some extra orders from the customers like: " can u gimme chilli sauce? or can u gimme soya sauce/ chopsticks?" ARGH....oh yeah 'n also some of them have starter..still have to clear after they finished eating 'n deliver the main course..

can u imagine me handling 16-18 tables at the same time? 'n among those tables, about 5 tables are having 4-5 guests??yeah..so in the end everything is in a total mess..i dun even know which food is for which table liao..send the wrong food to the wrong table..the customer waited for a very long time.. then the kitchen also in a mess..cos when i put the order into micros, the printer in the kitchen will print out the order so that the person in the kitchen will do the order..but it seemed last night that the printer keep printing out order 'n the kitchen haven't made the food..

well, so those impatient customers, or should i say they are in a rush because their movie are starting..in the end they asked for the bill before the food even come..paid for the drink only..so i canceled a lot of stuffs last night..total up to almost 200 francs..well, i feel so bad 'n guilty for nt being able to satisfy them..but i'm really pushed to my limit liao..

i tried asking for help from pizza&pasta.'n asked the potwash to help me find anybody available from pizza&pasta or newsbar to help me..but to no avail..they are very very busy...'n seems shorthanded, too..so in the end i still have to settle everything by myself..u know yesterday night i did until i almost cried..i feel like wanna escape 'n avoid the situation but can't..still have to face it..all the customers are waiting for me..they are looking at how i am running here 'n there..

there is this one table that order a 75cl bottle of rose.but i forgot to put it in the bill..luckily the guest is kind enough to tell me.or we'll lose another money. there is also another table asking for the bill, 'n i keep saying sorry because their food is nt there yet..u know i almost cried out in front of the guests..but he was kind enough to say that it's nt my fault that he understood i am alone...i dunno how many times i've said SORRY last night..i really feel happie when the guests understand my situation..but i still feel guilty though..

the aftermath, after almost all guests left at ard 9 30pm..the restaurant is juz like after a battle or after a war..haha..all the tables are dirty..'n i've spend some time to clean them one by one..

after the storm has gone, at the back area, saw the chef from the pizza&pasta, he said crazy, crazy..the pizza&pasta there are going crazy, too..then i told him i am all alone here..then he was like wah..but it's okie liao..now it seems to have become something to be proud of, lol..i saw everybody has got a feeling of satisfaction after all those thing..but i seriously dun want it to happen another time..once is enough.

i can't imagine that i have to do alone again for service tonight..i'm wondering how it will be..well, this wkend is really a busy one..ever since friday, i've been running in the restaurant...saturday get worse..'n sunday WORST SO FAR. hopefully nth worse than that.

once i reached home last night, i told jn 'n jemma abt my encounter ( they are nt working on sun. so gd lol.) n they can understand my situation cos they are in the same line as me. feel so gd after fa1 xie4 everything out.haha..

Something to add on: there is this peak moment, when i'm really SUPER BUSY last night.'n there is this guy from the bar having his break at the staff area (it's in a corner of Asia as i've said earlier) .he was eating. he saw me alone running here 'n there 'n he SAVED me for a while..he came in to the pantry area 'n asked me the drink order..he said he will handle the drink..OMG..seems like ying1 xiong2 jiu4 mei3 ..haha..i am really so touched 'n appreciate his act..because i was really desperate for help liao..'n he came at the right time.. he is shuai also..one of the guy that take my interest in autogrill balexert..lol..

after that i asked jn, if it's nt him but anybody else at his situation, will that person still wanna come 'n help me? 'n jn said as long as it's human, seeing me in that state, sure will come 'n offer his/her hand one..so k lor..i should stop dreaming ..haha..he did that nt because of me but because of the situation..but really what..he can choose nt to help..but he helped me..make me feel REALLY GRATEFUL..

yeah..i think those guy who wanna win any girls' hearts..should do something at the right time..like there was once, i dropped the key to the cash register behind the big shelf.'n it was heavy..i tried moving the shelf to get the key but i can't move it at all..at that time, some colleagues from pizza&pasta were eating lunch at the staff area, which is juz beside the shelf with the cash register of Asia..i didn't ask anybody for help but deep inside my heart, i seriously needed someone to help me to move the heavy shelf..'n there is this italian guy, a chef, without saying anything, straight away move the shelf away, get the key 'n gave it to me..i was like merci, merci..thanks him a lot..yeah..nobody else came, but him..sweet right..of course he caught my eyes..but that's all lar..he got a gf..lol..

anw, yesterday i got a ride home by another chef from pizza&pasta cos he was going the same way as me..cos it was raining last night. thank him also.
